Workplace Heat Description: The Workplace Physics €“ Heat course is an introduction to basic laws of Physics as related to Heat Energy. Topics to be introduced will involve concepts of the use of heat energy and how it is used in production processes. Topics covered will involve the 3 states of matter related to heat energy, Heat Energy€™s relationship to physical temperature and the transfer of heat energy. These topics will be placed into a practical workplace context involving machines using heat energy using a diversity of delivery methods including PowerPoint, Video Movie and laboratory mediums. Objectives: Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to: 1. Relate the 3 States of Matter to Heat Content 2. State 3 ways heat is transferred 3. Name 2 types of Thermometers used in industrial applications 4. Describe Sensible Heat 5. Describe Latent Heat
