Word - Basic Skills 4 Hour Session Course Description: The Word - Basic Skills workshop will introduce the participant to using Microsoft Word in a typical workplace setting. The learner will gain a basic understanding of the key components in the Word environment. By the end of the final session they will be able to create a document that includes tables and graphics. This class is instructor-led using the Live Virtual Classroom environment. Students can follow along on their computer to experience the different techniques that will be discussed. Objectives: 1. Describe what Word is and how it may be used in various tasks. 2. Understand the Word environment and how to effectively navigate in that environment. 3. Create a document in Microsoft Word. 4. Apply formatting to the document. 5. Use and format graphics. 6. Create and manipulate a table. 7. Save & print the document. Note: This class is completely customizable based on the workers that are enrolled in the session and their use of Microsoft Word. This class would typically be delivered in two two-hour sessions.

Create various Outlook items from an email. 6. Create and modify an appointment. 7. View another co-workers calendar to determine availability. 8. Create and modify a contact.
