Existing Customers:

Q1. During installation, my 4th Installation Disk just spins in the Drive.

A1. You have an older version of the installation Program. You can do one of two things. Simply create a file on your C drive called “C:\Windows” uninstall the Program through the Start Button-Add/Remove Programs, then re-install the Program in the same location or ship your number One and number Four Installation Disks back to Applied Technetronics with a note explaining why, and we will update your Installation Program. Once you received your new Installation updates, uninstall the Program through the Start Button-Add/Remove Programs, and then re-install the Program.

Q2. During Installation of the Multi-User Program, I received an error message “Error 3315- Field ‘APR_SECURITY.MULTI-USER-LOCATION’ can’t be a zero-lenght string.”

A2. Your Control File has been corrupted. Contact Applied Technetronics and send your number one and number four installation disks back to Applied Technetronics for correction.

Q3. I installed the Program on one PC and decided to move it to another PC. Whe I re-installed it on the new PC, I received an error message stating that “ This Computer has not been authorized to run this Program. This Program will be terminated”

A3. All Progams have a security feature that only permits authorized users to operate the Program. You need to re-install the Program on the old PC and check your operating manual for removal procedures then follow the uninstall process. Then move the Program to the new PC and install it. Contact Applied Technetronics if you have any questions; it is a simple process.

Q4. I have installed my Apprentice-I, Apprentice-I for Assocations, or Apprentice-I GM Edition program on my Windows NT machine and when I execute the program I recieve an error message that says “Error 52 Bad file name or number”.

A4. You have an older version of your Program.  You may contact us for a newer version or try the following: Go to Windows Explorer; click on the “C:” drive and create a new folder called “Windows”.  After creating the new folder, go to the Start Button and execute your apprenticeship program.  The program should run fine.  If Explorer says there is already a “Windows” file created, that existing file is currupted.  Rename that file to something else of your choosing then go to the start button and execute your apprenticship program.  The program will create a new file called “Windows” and will run properly from now on.

Q5. Where do I find the System Password?

A5.  The System default Password is located in the Program Instruction manual.  If you have difficulty finding it, look in the Terminology Section in the back of the manual under “Password”.  This default password is also used to uninstall the Program, change the user’s organization’s name in the Program, and change the System Default Password to the users preference.
